A Little Book With a Lot of History
I made this little scrap book album to give to my hubby as a momento on our Ruby wedding anniversary, lucky for me he appreciates things I've made, he says they have more meaning.
I made the little book from envelopes by sticking one to another by the flaps until I had enough pages. Being thrifty I got a few wall paper samples and then chose a french style one with birds, butterflies, postmarks and music etc. I cut it up and covered the front, back and each page. I dressed it up with bit's and bobs, a little over the top but hey why not!
I had to rummage through our old photos, scan them and print them the right size to fit two on each page. The photos were backed by frames which I made to fit and printed off from the net.
The photo's covers only a fraction of the years since we met, 44 years in all
It was a fiddly process and ........yes.......I could have bought an album but I enjoyed making it and he wouldn't have liked it as much.
More Stamping
I had more stamps left from making my box so I stamped a couple more things, here they are, I got the tin jug in Asda's sale for £3 and the little box was £1 from the range. I lined the lid and box with felt, I think it just finishes it off.
I am thinking of buying some more stamps, you can get a lot for little money on ebay, and I thought if I can get some cheap..ish items to cover I might try selling them somewhere.
