Travel Jewelery/Make Up Roll

This is my first attempt at anything like this, I sewed the zips in the wrong way a couple of times and they had to be unpicked, it has ended up a little bit skewiff but it is useable.

I thought it could be useful for quite a few bits and pieces, I am quite happy with the result and have learned a lot if I make another one.

Candle Mats

I've been trying out more ideas for candle mats, I think they look quite pretty especially when the candle is lit, of course it's one of my battery ones so no mess.

It looks like I have an obsession with Pansies, 

A goody Bag For a Good Friend

I saw this fabric and staight the way I thought of my good friend Peg who just loves liquorice allsorts.

I wondered what to make with it so I thought the most useful thing would be a bag, I lined it with some black fabric that I had.

 I am quite pleased with it and hope she will be too when I give it to her on our next caravan trip in May.

Sewing Machine Mat with Gadget Holder/Storage

Again the trusty tea towel came in handy, I used a waffle one that came as a three with two pretty cotton ones. These have so many uses, I look out for bargains on my travels, usually paying less than £2.99 for three.

I cut out some pockets from contrasting fabric, ironed on some interfacing to give strength and then sewed them in place.
 The piping around the edge at the front just finishes it off.

The largest pocket is just right for holding a container, I use a plastic cup, this is great for gathering all the loose cotton and bit's that usually end up all over the floor.
In the middle pocket I have a tape measure, needle threader, unpicker, and fabric marker, everything is at hand when I need it.

Pansy Candle Mat

I made as an Easter gift for a friend.

The candle, although wax on the outside is one of those that  works from batteries and it flickers. 

All the light of a candle with no mess.
